The metals we offer follows: gold-filled-bead-sample

                       Yellow Gold-filled

We are proud to handle one of the very best gold-filled products on the market. Using a proprietary process that bonds a gold layer to a base metal of jewelers brass, this manufacturer creates an item that will not chip, peel or fade.

You can count on many years of service from these beautiful beads and findings.   Also, the raw product is fire assayed to ensure the karat of the metal is accurate.  Unlike plated items sold as gold fill, you will never have an issue with the metal rubbing off, chipping, or fading.  Here is what our customers say about these products.       "The seller is right. Not all gold filled beads are created equal. These are beautiful - I also bought some from another seller. They were much cheaper, but the gold did not cover the beads completely, and the acrylic underneath was visible. Not so with these, they are completely gold, and the quality is terrific." Another says "This seller ships your items at the speed of light...always has what you need & reasonable prices for such amazing quality! These gold-filled beads look much brighter than those I've been buying elsewhere and even better than they are seamless! Excellent seller."

silver-bead-metal-exampleSterling Silver

-Pure silver is a soft metal. When made into jewelry is prone to chipping and breaking. There are no records of who created sterling silver. Ancient sites from 4,000 years ago indicate silver smelting. Combining pure silver with a base metal of nickel, copper, or another base metal creates a harder metal more suitable for jewelry manufacture.

1300 AD, King Edward 1 declared that silver must be 92.5% silver to be called sterling silver. That declaration is the standard used till today.  We guarantee that all of our Sterling Silver beads and finding meet or exceed the standard set forth by King Edward. Raw stock periodically fired assayed to issue the supplies you purchase are Sterling Silver. Current law in the U.S. requires copper as the base metal for making sterling silver. Never a concern that nickel is in these products.

rose-gold-metal-sampleRose Gold Filled

-Made by the same proprietary process as the Yellow Gold Filled. The only difference is the higher percentage of copper added for the color. You have the same quality assurance as the yellow gold filled.

-The Beads and finding we handle are all made of solid copper. That is not to say the beads are solid, but the metal is pure copper. Many people say they are selling copper when they are copper plated. Not so with us. A light coating of a water-based lacquer applied to our finished products to retard tarnishing but these products with tarnish over time. You cannot antique these beads with this lacquer applied.

Plated Beads & Findings

I get a lot of correspondence if these items are the metal represented or plated.  I want to clear any questions you might have about that issue by assuring you that we sell the exact item I am promoting. Have you bought beads or jewelry you believe to be fake? Here is a link to assist you in determining if those items are authentic.

Unique Skill & Workmanship Jewelry

These designs feature more complicated methods of crafting jewelry. The merging of Sterling Silver, Brass & Copper into something as unique as these designs is challenging. Imagine trying soldering three metals that melt at different temperatures together. I think that should be considered art. Designed by Far Fetched, these are some of the most fun, artful & unique designs you will find. If you are a collector, a fan of Far Fetched looking to replace a piece you lost or miss out on, or someone not familiar with this jewelry. I am sure you will enjoy viewing the different designs available.

Made with the "hand head & heart"

All Far Fetched jewelry is of the highest quality and durability. Designs are retired or discontinued items for sales samples or excess inventory. As always, each design is "just a little different like you."

Not familiar with Far Fetched jewelry?? Here is a story worth telling!! Travel far and fetch the unusual & upbeat was the goal of Richard Wolf when he started traveling and selling jewelry in the late '70s as a young university student at Sonoma State. After several trips, he concentrated his efforts on the villages outside of Taxco. Full of traditional artisans who lived a humble life and required work. For a young person, the rewards of making a living while also providing work for families in need was compelling. These artisans lived in small, one or two-room houses, often with no running water and a dirt floor. It took 45 to an hour on the local bus and then hiking up dirt roads and walking trails to reach these artisan's homes. Abalone jewelry was their specialty, and was it a natural for wholesaling to small independent stores along the west coast. The only way to take the jewelry out of the country was via hand luggage. Rich would bring suitcases from the States full of used clothing donated from churches to give to the artisan families and return with them full of artisan jewelry. Traveling up and down the coast of California in a little camper pick up truck Rich would sell his wares at craft fairs, flea markets, and wholesale to small retailers. After his first California gift show, where Disneyland became his first large customer, Rich decided to settle down and rent the basement from his Dad. Shortly afterward, he registered his enterprise Far Fetched Imports Inc. In the mid-'80s, raw silver dropped in price and launched silver jewelry into the mainstream fashion market. Far Fetched integrated silver into the product line and rode a wave of success selling bold silver pieces, particularly neck collars, which quickly expanded to all the west coast department stores. The Far Fetched team and its artisans had reached capacity, and when faced with the Broadway Stores request to sell to all the federated stores, they declined for lack of the ability to meet their demand. At that point, it was clear that Far Fetched would need to evolve and looked to hire an in house designer to integrate my ideas and the artisan's skills into new and unusual designs. Evan David was a college friend, designing for a subsidiary of Crown Corning housewares and ready for a change. He joined Richard in Laguna Beach, and together Rich & Evan introduced their first Far Fetched Collection called Mex/ West. Playful and cheerful, the collection blended the commonalities of Mexico and west coast culture. Rich introduced the exhibition at The New York Boutique Show. For the next 30 years, the Far Fetched team worked with Taxco artisans to design and introduce two new product collections every year! The Far Fetched mission evolved from the original concept of "fetching treasures" to creating whimsical, heartfelt jewelry, with the positive message of " created by hand, head & heart " Here's a summary of just a few of the Far Fetched Collections Milagro: Milagro, meaning miracle, is the original collection of charmed jewelry.
