The headdress is the point. In the traditions that created it, every feather in a war bonnet had to be earned, each one marking an act of courage or of duty to the people, so a full bonnet amounts to a wearable record of a life. The casting weighs 2.8 grams and renders profile and plumage dimensionally.
Production follows the old sequence: a wax original sculpted by hand, a plaster investment, a 1,350-degree burnout, then molten metal taking the wax's place, with hand-finishing through progressive stages to a bright polish. Made in USA in solid .925 sterling silver.
