The form is a classic rounded pot, 5/8 inch wide and 1/2 inch tall, its surface banded with traditional angular patterning. At 4.8 grams it is unexpectedly hefty for its size; the solid casting gives it a substantial, satisfying feel in the hand that lightweight hollow charms never manage.
Lost-wax casting — a technique nearly as ancient as the pottery it honors here — reproduces the vessel fully in the round, and staged hand polishing leaves the curved walls gleaming on all sides.
