Joel Poinsett brought this star-shaped flower back from Mexico in 1825, and within a generation the poinsettia had claimed Christmas as its own. This 3D sterling silver charm honors that history: the layered bracts radiating outward from a central cluster, cast in .925 sterling silver and made in USA. It measures 5/8" x 3/4" and weighs 2.3 grams.

The petals' separation is the mold's key challenge — each bract must remain distinct while connecting to the others as one solid casting. Filing, tripoli, and rouge polishing stages bring out the smooth petal surfaces and the textured center where the true flowers cluster. The finished piece has the naturally star-like outline of the actual plant, not a simplified approximation. A sterling silver jump ring is included and attached.
