The curled mane, open mouth, muscular haunches, and ornamental ball beneath one paw demanded an exceptionally detailed wax original before casting. Molten sterling silver at over 1,640 degrees fills every curl and crevice, and the subsequent hand-finishing takes considerably longer than a simpler form would require. The result is remarkable detail at small scale. A sterling silver jump ring is included and attached.
