The circular design with its two interlocking teardrop halves is rendered in full 3D relief, each side flowing into the other without a seam. Lost-wax casting replicates a technique dating back 6,500 years — the wax original is encased in investment plaster, burned out at 1,350 degrees, then flooded with molten sterling silver at over 1,640 degrees under approximately 50 G's of centrifugal force. At 3.5 grams and measuring 1/2" x 5/8", this sterling silver piece has real heft for its size.
