The process behind each piece begins with a hand-sculpted wax model set in investment plaster, burned out at 1,350 degrees, then filled with molten silver poured at over 1,640 degrees under roughly 50 G's of centrifugal force — a casting method that dates back 6,500 years to Egypt and Rome. The result is a precisely formed ornament with the cap detail that makes it identifiable at a glance.
