Solid sterling silver has a coolness and density that hollow or lightweight imports cannot replicate. This piece is cast using a technique over 6,500 years old, then moved through progressive hand-polishing stages — from initial filing through a final mirror-bright buff — with no two pieces coming out exactly identical.
One of the oldest known dog breeds, the Chow Chow originated in northern China over 2,000 years ago. Chinese emperors kept them as palace guards, and the breed shares with the Shar-Pei the rare distinction of a blue-black tongue — a trait found in only two domestic dog breeds worldwide. The breed's name may derive from Cantonese or from the pidgin English term for miscellaneous cargo brought from China.
